Welcome aboard your vehicle This vehicle user manual contains the information necessary: – for you to familiarize yourself with your vehicle, to use it to its best advantage and to benefit fully from the all the functions and the technical developments it incorporates. – to ensure that it always gives the best performance by following the simple, but comprehensive advice concerning regular maintenance. – to enable you to deal quickly with minor faults not requiring specialist attention. It is well worth taking a few minutes to read this manual to familiarize yourself with the information and guidelines it contains about the vehicle and its functions and new features. If certain points are still unclear, our authorized dealers will be pleased to provide you with any additional information. The descriptions of the models given in this manual are based on the technical specifications at the time of writing. This manual covers all items of equipment (both standard and optional) available for these models, but whether or not these are fitted to the vehicle depends on the version, options selected and the country where the vehicle is sold. This manual may also contain information about items of equipment to be introduced later in the model year. IMPORTANT THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND The FD Motors scooter is a new age electric vehicle and has some key differences in its characteristics compared to a traditional vehicle you might have used before. We recommend you familiarize yourself with the features, controls and notifications for optimal performance and safe riding experience. DO'S  Before your first ride, it is recommended to charge your scooter to 100%.  FD scooter is designed to the highest safety standards. But in case of an unlikely event of a spark or fire, stop immediately.  First, use water to cool down the battery to avoid further combustion.  Next, use a D-type fire extinguisher and maintain safe distance from the scooter.  While washing and cleaning, ensure that the charging flap and cover is closed properly.  When your battery goes below 20%, your scooter needs to switch to Eco mode ride below 25kmph and try to maximize your range.  Extended or repeated driving at low battery level may impact battery health and does not provide the range as expected. If your battery level is low, charge as soon as possible.  If not using your scooter for long, keep charging it every week or activate the vacation mode to avoid complete discharge.  Ensure that the electric socket and fittings of the charging area are compliant with housing safety requirements including but not limited to proper earthing.  Ensure that the battery is charged to 100% at least once in 30 days to maintain battery health.  Refer to the latest version of Owner's manual in the website/ask to authorized showroom/dealer for information on latest features and technologies, as they are subject to change.  Check tyre pressure every month for optimum tyre life and range. DONT'S  Don't tamper with components or electrical wirings as it may void your warranty. It might also cause a short-circuit, resulting in fire or electric shock.  Avoid parking in spots with extreme heat or waterlogging.  Don't insert any sharp objects in the charging port as it may damage the charging point.  While cleaning the vehicle, avoid removing accessories like side mirrors. Fitting them back will require the guidance of our Service Champion.  Avoid trying to accelerate while pressing the brake levers.  Do not charge your scooter in closed confined spaces such as a closed room. Avoid storing valuables in the buddy space. It is only intended for temporary storage of small items while riding.  Do not park on sloppy roads and get your scooter falls back, this will create major problems in electrical and battery range. FD MOTORS PRACTICAL RANGE The tested *range is 120 km, (F5A 40/43ah) 200km (73ah) the scooter should be under these conditions:  Number of riders: 1  Weight of rider maximum: 70 kg  Additional load on vehicle: Nil  Roads: City driving conditions with max 1% incline (maximum of 5km), Normal should be in plain road, without any traffic disturbance.  Ride mode: Eco  Ride style: Moderate (20-25 km/h) Maximum speed.  Weather: Moderate (24-35 °C) If you are experiencing a range that is less than mentioned here, then you likely have considerable variance in one or more of the parameters mentioned. Tested range is different from practical range and this tested range is performed in the road where above parameters are met. The range tested under the above parameters is the maximum range of the vehicle. *Range may vary based on load, terrain, weather, etc, Your FD scooter comes with a powerful electric motor - which means throttle response is fast. Be careful on your first few twists of the throttle, until you master it! RIDING MODES  Press the Mode button on the right control switch press from P to 00 to get start: ECO* Mode 1  Extend the range for city riding. Activate by long-pressing the Mode button for 1 second. NORMAL* Mode 2  Ideal for riding through city traffic with optimum acceleration and high range. SPORT * Mode 3  Perfect for quick riding on empty roads with high acceleration and speed. PARKING STAND when the parking stand is open. The company's obligation under this warranty is limited to repairing or replacing, free of cost, those parts of the vehicle which upon examination by the company may prove to the satisfaction of the company to have a manufacturing defect. However, parts damaged proximately, directly and solely due to the said malfunctioning also to be considered for free of charge both labour and parts, provided it is acknowledged by FD Motors that the same is not because of misuse/improper handling. All parts replaced under this warranty will become the property of the company and must be returned to the company. The company advertisement is just for the information and have limitation thereon and do not solely rely on the advertisement put forward. The full information is covered under operational manual. Limitations of Warranty: 1. This warranty shall not apply under the following conditions: • If the vehicle is not being serviced as per the service schedule described in the manual or if the vehicle is not being serviced at the recommended intervals at Authorized dealers or Service center. • If the ownership of the vehicle has been changed • If any parts/assembly of the 2W is tampered, altered/replaced or repaired at the workshops other than authorized by FD Motors. • If any failure occurred due to extraneous reasons like overloading or abuse of the vehicle. • If the vehicle is used for any competition or race and or for attempting to set up any record. • Any natural wear and tear, including without limitation, aging. • Proprietary parts such as Tyre, tube and Battery etc… • Damage resulting from modification, fitting of accessories other than those recommended by the company. • Insignificant factors such as noise, vibration, fluid seepage which do not affect the performance of the vehicle. • Vehicle not used according to the instructions given in this manual. • Maintenance arising due to misuse or adulteration or use of non-genuine spares. • Damage caused by any accident. 2. List of items which are not covered under warranty: All rubber items, plastic components, bulbs, fuses, electrical items, flashers, control switches, all seats and backrests, soft top assembly, all standard hardware items, gaskets, fasteners, shims, washers, oil seals, all types of cables, brake shoes, consumable items (all types of oil), components with normal wear and tear. 3. Parts repaired or replaced under this warranty are warranted only throughout the remainder of the original warranty period. 4. The company is not liable for any delay in servicing due to reasons beyond the control of the company or any of its authorized dealers/authorized service centers. 5. In any event, the company is not liable for indirect, remote, incidental or consequential damages. 6. The company many make any modifications or improvements to vehicles in future production at any time without prior notice and without any obligation to install the same on the vehicles previously dispatched for sale. 7. This is the only warranty given by the FD Motors for the 2W, No employee, Dealer or other person is authorized to extend or enlarge this warranty 8. Damage resulting from modification, fitting of accessories other than those recommended by the company. 9. Accident of any kind and non-proper use of vehicle.  The Company reserves the right for the final decision in all warranty matters, unless buyers has justified the proper use of the vehicle. If the vehicle has not used properly, company can reject the warranty claim fully. Accidental case is related to Insurance claim of the buyers, so it is not responsibility of the company to provide warranty in such case. Warranty Parts and Value Determination The Company may provide the Buyer with the latest available version of a part as a warranty replacement, where such version is available at the time of replacement. The Buyer shall accept the latest available version provided that it is not inferior in value to the original part installed in the vehicle. For the purpose of this provision, “higher-value” or “lower-value” part shall be determined based on the prevailing international market price of the relevant part, as reasonably established by the Company at the time of replacement or sale. The international market price shall be the basis for determining whether one part has a higher or lower value than another part. The Company reserves the right to provide a higher-value part as a warranty replacement or to include a higher-value item as part of the vehicle sale. The Company shall not provide a lower-value part while charging or accounting for it at the agreed value of a higher-value part. However, the Company may provide a higher-value part while charging or accounting for it at the agreed amount applicable to a lower-value part, without any additional charge to the Buyer, subject to the applicable warranty or sales terms. The Company may provide and install higher-priced parts in the vehicle, provided that the value of the parts does not fall below the previously applicable MRP value of the original parts for which the Buyer has paid. The use of such higher-priced parts shall not reduce or affect the warranty coverage or durability commitments previously provided by the Company. The Company shall continue to provide the same warranty and durability as originally promised to the Buyer, regardless of any replacement or inclusion of higher-priced parts. Warranty Claims and Notification Procedure In the event of any warranty claim, defect, or issue relating to the vehicle, the Buyer must notify the authorized dealer in writing as soon as reasonably possible. The Company shall not be responsible for any warranty claim or vehicle-related issue that has not been formally notified to the authorized dealer in writing. ❓ Frequently Asked Questions Q: What’s the range on a full charge? A: Up to 120 km under optimal conditions as provided above. Q: Is it comfortable to ride? A: Extremely. It’s smoother and quieter than gas scooters. Q: Do I need to warm it up? A: No. Just turn the key and go. Q: Is maintenance easy? A: Yes. No engine, no belts, no chains—minimal upkeep. Q: Can I get spare parts? A: Yes. All parts are available from the supplier. Q: Can I wash it? A: Yes, but avoid soaking the charger port and battery. Q: Do I need a helmet? A: Recommended. Check local laws. Q: How long do batteries last? Please take proper care, proper use and maintenance of the vehicle in accordance with the instructions provided in the Owner's Manual. If the vehicle is subjected to severe usage conditions, such as operating in extremely dusty, rough or heavy city traffic during hot weather or during the monsoons, usage of vehicles with under-inflated wheels, maintenance of the vehicle may have to be done more often. 2. Maintenance service records will be maintained by the Company and can be made available to the Customer on request. 3. In order to maintain the validity of this Warranty on the vehicle, the vehicle must be serviced by the Company Authorized workshop in accordance to the Owner's Manual. 4. In order to claim the warranty for any issue, the buyer’s is requested to submit the problem in writing to the dealers. 5.
